Sustainability Reporting

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is home of the world’s most widely used sustainability reporting framework – essential for any company considering sustainabiltiy reporting. Sustainability Advisory Group is an organisational stakeholder of the GRI.

Corporateregister.com provides free access to a database of publicly available sustainability reports. At last check, 20631 reports were available across 5246 companies! All searchable by sector/company/country.

Green buildings

GreenSpec provides an amazing amount of technical information on building materials, technologies, trends, reports etc etc. Their independent analysis of green building products is invaluable for making informed choices, and the guys that run it are lovely! This is a UK based site, but much of the information is relevant internationally.

The CD2E’s database of ecomaterials has more detailed information on a smaller number of products than GreenSpec. Again big applause for making high quality information freely available for all. The CD2E also run a regional network of eco-construction professionals, which is a great resource if (a) you speak French and (b) are based in Northern France. There are some of us…!
